Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Not to be confused with the script to the movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, this book is Harry Potter's copy of the often-used school-book, written by Newt Scamander. Just like with Quidditch Through the Ages, this book gives an extra insight into the world of Harry Potter and his friends. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is mentioned many times in both the novels and the movies and it was fun to get the chance to see the same thing Harry and the students at Hogwarts did.

The book contains a long list of beasts and monsters and details about them. What they look like, what they eat, where you can find them, how you should treat them and how dangerous they are combined with some interesting history. It gives more depth to creatuers that you meet during Harry's adventures, but you also get to learn about beasts that wasn't mentioned in any of the books.

What really made this book special is that it's filled with notes, comments and scribbles from both Harry and Ron in the marginals. There are questions and sarcastic jokes along with doodles which makes the book more real. It was hilarious reading the conversations between the two friends, reminding me of how it was when I was in class. I really enjoyed this book, for many reason, and like I said about Quidditch Through the Ages, this is something every fan of Harry Potter should have on their shelf.
