Rec of the month - July 18

For many, summer often means reading more contemporary books, stories about falling in love that you can read in a day or two. Stephanie Perkins Anna and the French Kiss, the first in a trilogy set on a boarding school in Paris, is a good choice for for your next summer read.

Anna is about to start her senior year in Atlanta. It’s here that she has her job, her best friend and a crush that might soon turn into more. Her father, however, decides she should go to boarding school in Paris, something Anna isn’t thrilled about. But when she starts her new school she meets Étienne St. Clair, a charming, funny and beautiful guy. He’s perfect in every way and he seems to have it all, including a serious girlfriend.

The year Anna spends in Paris is filled with friendship, adventures, love and heartbreak. She meets new friends, she sees her old life in a new light and she explores the City of Light while finding herself and a future she never even imagined.

This novel will give you everything you want and then some. It’s not love and happiness through it all but it is a story that will make you feel good. If you want to know more about it, read my review HERE.
